Story[]
History[]
Bunny born into a wealthy family and living happily with her mother. However, her mother was killed by Goosewood, and when he tries to kill Bunny, she managed to steal his gun and shoot him, though he survived. Afterward, Bunny was forced to become a bandit herself to stay alive, developing a deep hatred of Rivayle. While pondering whether or not to kill herself, she found Baron when he was ambushed by police and saw him resigning to death. She saved him and, recognizing him as a kindred spirit, asked him to help her overthrown the system of Rivayle and steal back all the happiness that was taken from them. From that day, Bunny found her purpose to destroy the Titans and became Baron's partner.
They went on an elaborate crime spree, taking from the rich and giving to the poor, eventually allying with Nahtnaught when she offered them a chance to overthrow Iceschillendrig.
Fate's Trigger[]
A train transporting wealthy citizens is breached by a pair of bandits called Bunny and Baron who declare they will overturn the natural order of Rivayle and take everything back the rich have taken from the poor. They begin robbing the citizens on the train and when the police officers on the train confront them, Baron explains they are after Iceshillendrig and has Bunny knock them out. The two thieves then discuss spreading their name and continue robbing the train for their mission.
On the streets of Rivayle, Bunny is approached by a woman named Fleauesse who offers to read Bunny's fortune. Fleauesse foresees that after great strife, Bunny will face a turning point. Though Bunny doesn't believe the prediction, Fleauesse gives her a bullet and urges her to hold off on it before disappearing. Bunny meets with Baron in Spurred On to eat lunch and prepare for their next mission.
Bunny and Baron return to their hideout and the latter reveals Nahtnaught has another mission for them to rob another train. He warns Bunny that they will have to watch out for someone named Zecilwenshe before deciding to relocate to another hideout since Nahtnaught found their current one and her henchman are susceptible to being bribed for their location. When they leave, they discover Iceshillendrig's henchman have found them and split up to escape and promise to regroup at their train robbery. When Bunny is ambushed by a henchman, Arisa saves her and explains she is from a different world. Before running off, Bunny gives Arisa some advice about Rivayle and urges her to head to the sheriff's office if she needs help. Bunny regroups with Baron and drive off in their getaway car, Val, and race to their train robbery.
On the way to the train, Baron explains to Bunny they are hijacking a coal shipment, which would render the trainyards useless. When they intercept and board the train, the pair split up. Bunny arrives and when Zecilwenshe tries to attack her, Baron shoots him, and Bunny finishes him off. After completing their robbery, the pair head to Spurred On to celebrate with a dinner and head back to their hideout to rest. Bunny reveals her encounters with Arisa and Fleauesse, but discovers she lost the bullet Fleauesse gave her.
The next morning, Baron disguises Bunny from others with his Jamming magic and makes her hide as Nahtnaught arrives. Nahtnaught apologizes for her men ratting out Baron's location and orders him to hunt down Iceshillendrig's personal guard. Before leaving, she warns him about the rising numbers of wretches. Bunny comes out of hiding to discuss the next job and Baron reveals that Iceshillendrig has been stricken by disease which forced him to hire guards to compensate the lack of power. Baron sees the opportunity as a chance to raise their reputation but is wary of how every business transaction and material possession comes from Iceshillendrig's syndicate. The pair set out for their job.
A woman tries to get a train ride to the other side of town to see a doctor to help her with her sickness but is denied for not being able to buy a ticket. Maiser watches the scene and wants to help, but a deputy advises him that doing so would aggravate Iceshillendrig's syndicate and pulls him away. As the woman's husband begs for help, Bunny and Baron arrive, scare off the train guard, and give the woman the money she needs, earning her and her husband's gratitude. The guards return and Baron orders Bunny to hit their garrison while he acts like a diversion. While hunting for the garrison, Bunny bumps into Selena, but quickly moves on to find the garrison. However, she is found by Zecilwenshe, who is somehow back from the dead, and is attacked by him in revenge for his previous death and to spite Baron.
After the fight goes on, Bunny challenges Zecilwenshe to a quick draw match to decide their fates. Zecilwenshe takes her challenge and the duel commences. With two instant shots, Bunny disarms Zecilwenshe and shoots him through his heart, killing him. After making sure Zecilwenshe is truly dead, Bunny moves on to the garrison.
Baron returns to Bunny at their hideout and tells her about the starting rebellion. Nahtnaught makes a public announcement with Bunny and Baron and reveals they are going after Iceshillendrig. Baron expresses his hatred for Rivayle's system, where he lived under the thumb of the Titans, and declares he will destroy that system or die trying. He rallies the poor citizens of Rivayle to join him and rise up, and Arisa arrives and offers to help. The other citizens join Baron's cause and Bunny and Baron prepare for what might be their last job to take back everything that was taken from them.
Fate's Trigger: Conclusion[]
As Bunny and Baron prepare for the rebellion, Baron insists that they whittle away Iceshillendrig's forces first. He also warns Bunny that Zecilwenshe is still alive, revealing he possesses the bodies of others and switches out when one dies, but he is certain Zecilwenshe has a weak point.
Bunny and Baron begin attacking Iceshillendrig's henchmen, though Bunny struggles to adjust to the powers Baron shared with her. Illganaeau interrogates one of Iceshillendrig's henchman, but he commits suicide when he discovers Illganeau can read minds and learned a bit about the ritual. Bunny and Baron cross paths with Illganeau, and after learning they are all after Iceshillendrig's head, join forces with each other.
Suddenly, Zecilwenshe attacks Arisa, Maiser, Selena, Bunny, Baron, and Illganeau simultaneously through different bodies. Baron orders Bunny and Illganeau to continue on while fights Zecilwenshe. However, Zecilwenshe, with his full power unleashed, ambushes Bunny and Illganeau separately through multiple bodies. The Zecilwenshe Bunny is fighting reveals Baron's has died, but not before killing the body he was fighting, before leaving to let Bunny see the truth with her own eyes. Bunny desperately searches for Baron's body but can't tell which corpse is his because he never let her see his real face. Zecilwenshe returns and gloats that Baron didn't even trust Bunny to see his face, but Bunny attacks him in rage for Baron's death and for her frustrations that Baron planned to make himself a matyr from the beginning. She kills the Zecilwenshe bodies and grieves over Baron's death and betrayal.
As Bunny battles Zecilwenshe, all the battles the latter fought take their toll and his magic is nearly depleted. Zecilwenshe is finished off for good by Arisa, who reveals that many people have died in the conflict, but all Bunny cares about is Baron's death. Arisa reveals she has seen the tragedy of war before and her empathy soothes Bunny's grief and Bunny asks Arisa to help her. Arisa and Bunny infiltrate Iceshillendrig's mansion and confront the Titan of Prosperity. He reveals he has been expecting the two and he is the one who created Zecilwenshe. He reveals that all the deaths he caused mean nothing to him because he believes they were fated to die and no one can escape it, with him as the exception. Arisa and Bunny fight Iceshillendrig, with the latter referring to their battle as a trial for his Reclamation.
Bunny's attacks fail to injure Iceshillendrig due to her bullets coming from his syndicate and his Reclamation prevents anything stolen from him from inflicting harm. Iceshillendrig uses his Reclamation to curse Bunny and inflict great pain onto her while revealing he is terrified of death and that he refuses to let it happen to him. Arisa saves Bunny with her power of aether and since it does not originate from Iceshillendrig, it is unaffected by his Reclaimation. Iceshillendrig is surprised there is a force other than something called the Lodestone that could resist a god and Bunny urges Arisa to kill Iceshillendrig and end his grip over Rivayle. Arisa mortally wounds Iceshillendrig, but he reveals his power reclaims whatever is taken from him as he rises and kills Bunny.
The Final Loop[]
n a new cycle, Bunny and Baron lead the rebellion against Iceshillendrig and team up with Illganeau. The three are ambushed by Zecilwenshe and Baron takes him on alone while Illganeau and Bunny leave to attack Iceshillendrig's henchmen.
During Bunny's battle with Zecilwenshe's bodies, all of the bodies feel the pain of Kagero's attack and wonder what is happening in Rivayle. Sekka arrives to help Bunny fight the wounded Zecilwenshe. During the fight, Sekka, an embodiment of magic itself, recognizes Zecilwenshe is similar to her. Bunny kills Zecilwenshe's body and Sekka asks her about the trial of Rivayle, revealing the time loop. When Bunny mentions that she plans to go out in a blaze of glory with Baron, Sekka asks her is Baron wants the same thing. Bunny explains her connection with Baron and mentions the trial Fleauesses mentioned to her. Bunny is indifferent to the trial until Sekka reminds her about the time loops, but before they can discuss it further, they are attacked by Iceshillendrig's henchmen.
Bunny is attacked by the monsters, but she is aided by Baron. He explains that Nahtnaught is leading the front lines of the battle and their job is to sneak behind and go for Iceshillendrig.
Bunny and Baron prepare to fight Iceshillendrig with a set of bullets not created by him, which are immune to his Reclaimation. Before they can take action, Aluzard finds them and warns them that if they kill Iceshillendrig, he will take their lives and their bodies. Understanding the plausibility of Aluzard's warning, Baron decides to instead reduce Iceshillendrig to a helpless state and lock him away, despite knowning the same kind of damage would be inflicted upon him. Bunny is confused by Baron's resolve and Baron reveals he intends for Bunny to take her place, as no one has ever seen his face because of his jamming magic. Aluzard gives Bunny the bullet Drache handed to him, the same one Fleauesse originally gave to her, and stays behind to fight the wretch monsters while Bunny and Baron go to face Iceshillendrig.
On the way to confront Iceshillendrig, Baron, believing Bunny is nervous about the upcoming battle, tries to comfort her by telling her that they will be moving on to a better life, but Bunny explains she prefers their current lifestyle, and she doesn't want Baron to live with the dismemberment he will face if his plan to stop Iceshillendrig works. Though Bunny is conflicted, the two keep going and confront Iceshillendrig in his mansion. Baron reveals to Iceshillendrig that he has ammo immune to his Reclaimation and that he doesn't intend to kill him, but instead reduce him to a powerless state. Bunny and Baron attack Iceshillendrig to take back everything taken from them.
Baron wounds Iceshillendrig repeatedly, despite the latter's Reclaimation inflicting the same injuries onto the former. Iceshillendrig reveals his fear of death, but Baron counters that he has Bunny to live on for him while Iceshillendrig is alone. When Baron prepares to shoot to permanently subdue Iceshillendrig, Bunny joins him and aims her gun at Iceshillendrig. Before she can fire, Fleauesse appears and freezes everything except Bunny to speak with her privately. Bunny witnesses a vision of the cycle where she and Arias killed Iceshillendrig and Fleauesse encourages her to shoot with the bullet Aluzard gave her.
The Player is given a choice of who to shoot, Iceshillendrig, no one, or an unknown third target. If the Iceshillendrig is targeted, he will accidentally be killed by the bullet and cause a chain of events that leads to the end of the Rivayle and Vellsar. If no one is selected, the result won't be accepted, and another choice must be made. If the third target is selected, Bunny shoots Fleauesse sensing she is responsible for the cycles.
When Fleauesse is shot, everything unfreezes and Fleauesse reveals she was the god who created Rivayle and split her power into three beings, the titans. She also reveals the bullet Bunny shot at her was the Lodestone, the stone that existed before Rivayle, and the only thing in the world she did not create and that has the power to change its fate. Fleauesse absorbs Iceshillendrig's essence back into her and reveals that Rivayle is no longer hiden from reality. Suddenly, Nexus's Shades appear and Fleausse reveals that Nexus has targeted Rivayle and that her power could not stop her. To keep Nexus at bay, Fleauesse sealed it in a barrier and create a time loop to create a future where Rivayle could become strong enough to survive Nexus's arrival. By shooting Fleauesee, Bunny and Baron have passed her trail and proven they are capable of fighting against the Keeper. Fleauesse disappears, leaving behind the Lodestone, which Baron retrieves, and Bunny and Baron leave to confront the new threat.
Arisa, Bunny, and Baron that Nexus can be found at Rivayles end and asks them to stop her for good. Arisa begins searching for Nexus to save Losaria from her possession while Baron decides to confront Nexus alone, but Bunny tells him that they will fight together.
While searching for Nexus out in the desert, Bunny and Baron become surrounded by Shades. While fighting, Bunny and Baron argue over the latter's goal of becoming a Titan and the former's goal of going out in a blaze of glory with Baron. Baron explains he wants Bunny to live a happy life, even if it is without him, but Bunny declares she loves Baron and can't be happy without him. Baron admits he share's Bunny feelings, quoting her favorite poem about love. and explains that he believes Bunny deserves a better life than living with his crooked past. However, Bunny believes the poem is about death, reciting the full version, and Baron objects to her belief, stating she deserves to find happiness as the two are attacked by giant Shades. After defeating the Shades, Baron refuses to tell Bunny directly he loves her, believing his past as a murderer will keep her from finding happiness. After further arguing, Baron admits he loves Bunny and the two reconcile with Baron showing her his real face. The two continue their hunt for Nexus, their bond stronger than ever before.
Bunny and Baron make their way through the hordes of Shades and Aluzard meets up with them. The three join forces just as Nexus arrives to defeat them and fight against her.
The three are unable to wound Nexus and the latter summons the Morning Star. Fortunately, Arisa arrives and dispels the Morning Star with her power. The four attack Nexus with Arisa and Aluzard distracting her while Baron gives Bunny the Lodestone to shoot. The attack manages to critically wound Nexus and the four press their attacks on the injured Nexus.
After the battle, Bunny and Baron have risen to become Titans in Iceshillendrig's place, but prefer spending their time enjoying their new freedom in Rivayle.
Whispers of Purgation: Last Words[]
Bunny and Baron are driving back from a mission to find information on how to defeat Nexus. While on the road, Bunny begins to discuss Baron's relationship with Nahtnaught, which he claims is only professional, and Baron is glad that Bunny hasn't found someone else. The two declare their love for each other and assure each other that they will find happiness after clearing Rivayle of Nexus.
Bunny and Baron meet up with Maiser and Selena at the church, eating together in surprise that they are no longer separated by vigilantes and criminals, but by those who want to save Rivayle. When discussing how to confront Nexus, Maiser confirms that only the four of them remain after completing the evacuation of everyone in Rivayle, both the poor and the rich. Bunny and Baron say that their strategy is to simply kill Nexus, but that although they no longer have the Fate's Bullet, the fact that Fleauesse created it makes it of divine origin, just like the Titans. Thus, what they have to do is become Titans themselves by inheriting their powers. In an old journal with records of all the Titans that have ever existed, they find a ritual called the "Song of Heaven and Earth" used to transmit the power of a Titan, however this comes with the risk of dying from not being able to withstand the Titans' mana as well as the cost of the previous Titan's life. As they debate whether there's a better way to approach the ritual, Baron notes that the two lines of the ritual's incantation reference the Titans of Force and Order, but there's nothing about the one from Prosperity, likely because the ancestors used an incomplete ritual due to Iceschillendrig never passing on his power to a successor. Since they haven't found the slightest clue about the possible third line, they would only have to ask Iceschillendrig himself.
Illganeau suddenly arrives, cheering everyone who thought she was dead after the battle with Nexus. Illganeau reveals that the third line does in fact exist, but that it will not save the other Titans, something she knows thanks to Iceschillendrig, who appears in a ghostly form, making everyone tense. Illganeau reveals that after being defeated by Nexus, she spent time wandering the world between life and death, finding Iceschillendrig there and bringing him back with her inside her body in exchange for him helping them with what he knows. Although everyone is hesitant to trust him, Illganeau tells them that it's their only option. Iceschillendrig then reveals the third line of the ritual, that as long as there's a Titan present, it can be carried out without the other two and that it is a way that they can avoid dying during it, but only if they're willing to let Vincent and Nahtnaught die.
As Nexus returns to Rivayle, Illganeau is left to fight her army of Shades while Bunny, Baron, Maiser, and Selena take on the Keeper. The four attack Nexus, but are powerless against her. This is until Baron summons Nahtnaught's Boxing Magic and Maiser uses Vincent's Magic. However, Nexus notes that they both only have half of each Titan's power, with Baron only being able to use it in his right hand and Maiser only adding speed to his Ignition. However, Bunny and Selena reveal that they have the other half of the powers, as the Titans' heritage was split evenly into two so that they could resist it at the cost of reduced power. Although Nexus doesn't believe they have the power to oppose him, they combine their abilities in a number of ways. Selena combines her magic with Maiser's using Vincent's commands, Bunny gives Maiser's bullets even more acceleration by putting them in her box and releasing them, Baron expands Selena's sugar bullets into fire bombs, and Maiser gains mobility by getting into Baron's casualties and sharing his Acceleration with him. Gaining the upper hand, they claim that they will overcome her because humans have within them the ability to create a new future. Growing more confused and furious, Nexus decides to use the power of Fury once again to turn back time.
Nexus does another of her Reset and Restart, but time suddenly stops without her doing so. Illganeau appears declaring that there will be no time left, revealing that time is not asleep but "stagnated", which Iceschillendrig accomplished. Thus, as soon as he saw that Nexus would use her power over time, Baron sent a signal through the seal to begin the ceremony that would inherit the power of the three Titans. The two declare that the future of Rivayle belongs to their people before setting time running again. The five warriors join forces and destroy Nexus for good. Arisa returns from her imprisonment to find that her allies have won.
