Countdown is a special mechanich used exclusively in amulet cards and followers with Crystallize effects.
The Countdown represents a number of turns it takes before the amulet is destroyed after it entered play. The Countdown number is reduced by 1 at the start of your turn and when Countdown reaches 0, the amulet is destroyed. This usually results in the activation of a Last Words effect or simply to limit the use of the amulet's ability.
Countdown amulets are mostly found in the Havencraft class, wich also includes various cards with abilities that reduces or increase an amulet's Countdown.
