Personality[]

Eleanor is self-centered and solely guided by logic, finding terms like "friendship", "love" and "feelings" as worldly and alien to her. She spends all her time on magical experiments, barely stopping to sleep. Having been born with an incomparable amount of magical power, she is very proud of herself, referring to herself as "Cosmic Flower." Eleanor fervor towards her experiments stems from a desire to validate her existence after her mother died giving birth to her and her father killed himself out of grief. After spending time with Isabelle, Eleanor begins to interact with others, finding new values in friendships.

History[]

Eleanor as a small child, showing her magic to her father.

Eleanor possesses tens of thousands times more magic power than the average person. This led to her mother dying as soon as she gave birth to her, because she couldn't handle her power. Her father, although he was smiling and always telling her that she is not to blame, was according to her, a "bad liar." When Eleanor entered the Magic Covenant when she was 10, she vowed to make up for the life she took; that of her mother. She would do that by showing the world her worth. When she came back after the exam, she found her father dead. Since then, she has kept researching magic with little to no rest and no brakes.

The Guild War[]

Finding Isabelle, Eleanor attacks her to research her magic. Eleanor proves to be incredibly powerful and pins Isabelle with a gravity spell, but stops once she fully understands how Isabelle uses magic. Fascinated with Isabelle's ability as a mage, Eleanor offers Isabelle to join Magis Covenant, and drags Isabelle around to show her Isunia.

Eleanor explains Isunia is filled with canals that act as its main source of prosperity and that five guilds rule Isunia. She takes Isabelle to Magis Covenant, the guild she is in charge of, which constantly conducts all kinds of research. However, Eleanor has no interest in bettering Isunia and prefers to indulge her own curiosity. Isabelle finds Eleanor's self-serving nature to be similar to her drive to resurrect Kyle, but before she can ask any questions, a water creature attacks them. Eleanor reveals the creature is an artificial lifeform created by her guild when their experiments fail. She explains the creatures can only survive for a few hours and, despite seeking out life energy from others, are incapable of inflicting any real harm.

After destroying the creature. Eleanor explains her guild's goal is "turn the world upside down" by unlocking its mysteries and achieving the impossible. Isabelle asks Eleanor what her motive is, she answers it was the way she was born and asks Isabelle what her goal is. Eleanor extends her offer to join Magis Covenant again and Isabelle contemplates joining in hopes of finding a way to resurrect Kyle. A member of Magis Covenant arrives and explains there is a problem they need Eleanor's help with and she leaves to handle it and tells Eleanor she'll find her again when she's done.

Eleanor returns and offers Isabelle to come with her to her guild. Isabelle asks Eleanor if she can fully revive the dead and Eleanor grows interested and comes up with a method that may bring back Kyle's soul. Isabelle accepts Eleanor's offer and is formally welcomed to Isunia.

Isabelle explains her encounter with the man accompanying Luna and Eleanor recognizes she is talking about Nicola Adel. The two arrive at the Magis Covenant guild and Isabelle explains the events that led her to travel to Isunia, but Eleanor dismisses her connections with the rest of her group. She warns that if she had been found by another guild, she would have been pulled into an upcoming war between the guilds. The meeting is interrupted by a member of Eschamali and Eleanor drags Isabelle to battle the member.

Isabelle experiments with the spells in Eleanor's books and creates another water creature. Eleanor returns and is impressed by Isabelle's skill, but is appalled by the mess she left while experimenting. She throws a tantrum and demands Isabell clean up her mess and destroy the creature she made, which goes berserk. After destroying the creature, Isabelle fixes her mess, appeasing Eleanor. Suddenly, the Magis Covenant's guardian creature is thrown into the lab and is destroyed by Urias. Urias declares he has come to battle Eleanor and she attacks him for his intrusion.

The two hear the battle come to an end and Eleanor returns, fresh from expelling Urias out of the guild to force a draw. Isabell and Eleanor begin their experiments to resurrect the dead and infuse a soul in a water creature but summon a dog could instead of the intended cat soul. They restart their efforts, but are interrupted by a report stating Countersolari has become active again, but Eleanor ignores this and tries to continue her research. Isabelle questions her indifference to the threat to her homeland, but Eleanor's sole focus is on her experiments.

The experiment continues to fail and Isabelle suggests they go aside to refresh their minds; a concept foreign to Eleanor. After finding out that Eleanor devotes almost all of her time and energy to her experiments, Isabelle pushes her to get out of her lab. Outside, Isabelle expresses her concerns about Eleanor's unhealthy lifestyle and her own doubts about her goals. Rowen approaches the two and Isabelle sends Eleanor back to the lab while she speaks with him.

Eleanor asks Isabelle if something is bothering her and Isabelle admits she feels lost in her goals. Eleanor relates how the loss of her parents caused her to pursue magic to prove her self-worth. Before the conversation can continue, a group of Countersolari assassins break into the lab and demand to know which side Magis Covenant will take in the war. Eleanor declares the only one she aligns with is herself and the assassins attack, believing her to be a threat. The two expel the assassins from the lab with a declaration that Magis Covanent will not join either side of the war. Isabelle admits she is worried with how things are developing and who will get caught in the crossfire. Eleanor advises Isabelle to come to her own answers about her goal and leaves to prepare the experiment again, leaving Isabelle to declare she will find her answer.

The Guild War: Conclusion[]

As the war reach The Magis Covenant, Isabelle notices the explosion and ask Eleanor of her opinion about the war going on outside. She tells her that it's a waste of time to worry about that. Isabelle decides to stop the war and heads out but not before she admits that the time they spent was fun and she was a real friend.

Isabelle had enough the Bladeright killing people lashes out at them. As she lets her guard down and is overwhelmed, Eleanor show up to help her. As more Bladerights shows up Eleanor stays behind to hold them off.

As Isabelle and everyone catch up to Maisha they all attack her. Maisha repels them all with Leod's Sword the Truth Moon. Eleanor and Nicola stay behind to fight the possessed Bladerights while the otherworlds confront Maisha. As the fight continues, Maisha's power weakens enough to break her control over the Bladerights and Nicola and Eleanor show up to help finish her off. As Nicola gives the finishing blow, Setus stops him. This startle everyone even Maisha as he tells them all that he loves Maisha. Setus then tells everyone that he has a responsibility as a Bladeright kills Maisha and declare himself as the new Marshal of the Bladeright. Eleanor understands Setus's act and (in her own way) gives him her respect by referring to him by his full name.

With the War over Isabelle says her goodbyes to her friend Eleanor. The two hope to meet again in the future.

The Guild War: Reconstruction[]

In the aftermath of the guild war, Magis Covenant changed and began openly sharing their research to help with reconstruction. The members of Magis Covenant work to deal with the appearance of the magical lifeforms, which they did not create, since Eleanor has been spending more time outside her lab and experiments. Eleanor begins investigating the outbreak of magical lifeforms and meets with an item trader, who commends her for stepping out of her lab and helping to rebuild Isunia.

Setus and Nicola meet with Eleanor at the Magis Covenant building, but before they can start the meeting, a Bladeright officer breaks into the building and confronts the three guild leaders. He reveals he plans to kill the three to collect a bounty on them and start a new life in another country. He also reveals he set things up so Nichola would be exhausted and without ore to reenergize himself and that he used Eleanor's efforts to remove magic residue pollution the canals to unleash the outbreak of magical lifeforms, including one capable of competing with even Eleanor. Finally, he reveals he stole the two swords from the Bladeright's to use against the Guild Leaders. However, Nicola, having regained his strength by eating an ore sample in Eleanor's lab, destroys the rouge officer's magical lifeform and Setus reveals that Countersolari warned him of the assassination attempt, so they set a trap and chased away the rouge officer's foreign conspirators. The rouge officer tries to use the two swords, but their magic doesn't activate and Setus reveals that only those willing to sacrifice everything can wield them, rendering them useless. The rouge officer surrenders and Setus knocks him out instead of killing him, believing he is partially responsible for the officer's discontent and that he can be reformed. The guild leaders then officially begin the meeting.

Whispers of Purgation: Last Words[]

As one of Eleanor's experiments meant to protect Isunia from interdimensional threats, fails to work properly and causes damage to the town square, to the irritation of Setus and Nicola. The three guild marshals further the discussion in private where Eleanor assures the others that despite her experiment's failure, her work toward it has yielding benefits, such as creating a way to teleport anywhere in Isunia and the creation of valuable crystals that can be sold for high prices or eaten by Nicola for power. She explains that the artifact she is working on is called the Aegis of Isunia will detect threats and create a barrier to keep them from entering Isunia. The device will even be capable of adapting to whatever power the threats use and has already been installed on the fountain plaze. Eleanor adds she is also building another device called the Tidegate that will allow travel to other worlds thanks to a device Nicola kept from before he was sent to Isunia. The guild marshals then discuss an upcoming festival to celebrate Isunia's recovery after the war Maisha started. However, the meeting is interrupted by news of a sigil appearing in the sky and mechanical invaders.

Eleanor uses her magic to observe events and discovers the Aegis has been taken, Setus rallies Nicola and Eleanor and comes up with a plan for the bladerights to evacuate the citizens while Nicola and Eleanor fend off the machines. Eleanor begins destroying the invading machines and realizes they have the power Maisha had as a Keeper's vessel.

After destroying all the machines near him, Nicola regroups with Eleanor and Setus, the latter from confirms the citizens are all evacuated and safe. Suddenly, the Furies arrive and realizing they are far stronger then the other machines, Eleanor asks Nicola to buy her time to give Setus an opening. Nicola is barely able to fend off the Furies, but he lasts long enough for Eleanor to use her magic to pin them and Setus to defeat them off with the blades. After taking down the Furies, Setus is drained of much strength as a side effect of not yet mastering the blades. In a last-ditch attempt to defeat the Guild Marshals, the Furies attempt to self-destruct, but Eleanor is not concerned, realizing their friends have come to help them.

Isabelle and Luna arrive and the former creates a barrier that protects everyone from the Furies' explosion with the help of the bracelet Arisa gave them. Luna reunites with a grateful Nicola while Isabelle catches up with Eleanor, who knew she was coming because she had placed a tracking spell on her so she could find her once she was able to figure out how to travel to other worlds.

Nicola realizes the only way to stop the machines is to defeat Belphomet and Isabelle and Eleanor create a barrier to give them time to think of a plan. Eleanor reveals she will be able to transport a single person to Belphomet with her improved teleportation magic and proses that Nicola should be the one to fight, something Nicola was already planning to do.

Eleanor retrieves the Aegis Belphomet modified and after Nicola explains that Belphomet was planning to use it to learn Nerva's true goal, she gives it to Isabelle for safe keeping. Nicola also revealed that Belphomet told him the other vessels, including Maisha, were revived as well. Setus asks Eleanor to use the Tidegate to send him to Maisha, but Eleanor warns that she can't guarantee he will arrive at her exact location. Despite the risks, Setus still wishes to go find Maisha to stop her from unleashing another tragedy and try and to save her from the path she is on. Eleanor agrees but warns he will only be able to search for a limit time before being pulled back to Isunia and Setus leaves behind the blades of Truth and Lies, knowing his confrontation with Maisha is a personal matter. Eleanor sends Setus through a portal to another worled and she and Isabell decide to stay in Isunia to prepare for the battle against Nerva by studying the Aegis Belphomet modified. As everyone leaves to start working, Nicola reflects that he finally knows he has a soul, something Eleanor personally confirms.
