The Genesis Corporation is a large and wealthy tech company, responsible of the creation and development of the Shadowverse game in Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, Shadowverse anime and Shadowverse Flame.

The Genesis Corporation is owned by Leon Aurenche during the first anime series. In Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, its headquarters are located in the Bussiness District of Nekome City.
They developed the Virtual Reality System used in Shadowverse battles, the Shadowverse Gauntlets and the V.E.S.U.S system used during the Shadow Grand Prix. However, their greatest secret and object of research was the Tree of Woe, a connection to other worlds that led to the creation of their greatest technologies, including the Arc, the Shadow Area and the Shadowverse game itself. The research of the Tree of Woe was carried out by Leon himself, along with Hiro's parents, Eiji and Asagi. However, the Tree of Woe revealed itself to be a threat to the entire world, being the link through which the Keeper Nexus sought to destroy it. After Eiji and Asagi were taken over by the Tree of Woe when it spiraled out of control, Leon spent the following years preparing for its return, creating the Mythical Cards and the Nexa System, hoping to seize power over Nexus and thus remake the world in his image.
During Shadowverse Flame, the current CEO is Marguerite Valois, who succeeded Leon after his disappearance. The company was researching the Arc until a mysterious being going by Arc Ruler stole it.
When the Digital Friends appeared, Genesis Corporation created a division called DF Research Lab in order to study them. They however lied saying that they had created the Digital Friends to avoid public suspicion.
Genesis Corporation maintained a mutually agreed-upon relationship with the Seven Shadows, providing them with funds in exchange for their help in the search for the Arc. They eventually acted during the invasion of the Arc Ruler, providing shelter to the citizens and logistical support to those fighting it.
