Itsuki Mitsutagawa is a main character in Shadowverse Flame.
Itsuki is a leader of the Forestcraft class in Shadowverse and Shadowverse: Evolve. In SVE, his leader card can be obtained in ETD03: Entry Deck Shadowverse F: Itsuki Mitsutagawa and BP03: Flame of Lævateinn.
His Digital Friend is Slade.
Biography[]
A 2nd-year student of Shadowverse Battle College and the default head of Seventh Flame. He struggles to rebuild the club, which is on the verge of being shut down due to all other members quitting due to conflict with the rival club First Reaper. He meet Light Tenryu while handing out club flyers who promises to help him with his situation, fulfilling the next day by joining Seventh Flame along with Subaru Makabe.
He sympathizes with Ren seeing the similarity of their situations in not being accepted for being themselves. When Tastumi Raido challenges Seventh Flame for offering Ren a place in the club, Itsuki decides to confront him. Despite being cornered by Tatsumi calling him weak for bringing Seventh Flame to the brink of falling, Itsuki manages to win by affirming his decision to be himself. After this, Ren is allowed to join Seventh Flame.
When Mikado Shirogane decides to expel all members of Seventh Flamen if they lose the Shadowverse Club Tournament he will organize, Itsuki goes to the Shadowverse Stadium to train. There he decides to battle a Bloodcraft player, so he goes to the river where is said that a strong Bloodcraft player tend to wander. This player results to be Ryoga Jasei, the owner of the DigiFriend Demonium who Itsuki found after being casted out by Ryoga. Following a confrontation over their opposing views on the value of the DigiFriends, the two have a battle and despite losing, Itsuki asserts his position on Ryoga's actions.
Itsuki has a rematch with Ryoga in the Shadowverse Club Tournament when he is revealed to be Second Blood's former president. Using what he learned from their previous battle, Itsuki manages to win by empowering his Cosmos Fang with Feral Awakening, earning Ryoga's respect as well.
During the late second day of the Shadowverse World Ranking, Itsuki receives a mysterious invitation from Ryoga, which turns out to be a distress call from Demonium. After taking an unconscious Ryoga to Shadowverse College, Itsuki takes care of him until he wakes up the next day.
As he leaves, Itsuki is confronted by Luca Yonazuki and despite the fear of facing one of the Seven Shadows, Itsuki agrees to battle him. However, Itsuki realizes that he lost to Luca who didn't even play seriously. This leads him to want to strengthen himself to get everything out of Luca another time.
On the final day, Subaru and Itsuki face Zuo Onizuka and Ko Hebigami. Despite facing difficulties, the two manage to draw strength from their renewed motivation to move foward, and upon winning, they position themselves in 6th and 4th place in the Ranking.
Itsuki is taken along with the rest of Seventh Flame, Ryoga Jasei and Mikado Shirogane to the Shadow Area where the battle against the Seven Shadows would take place. Itsuki has his second battle with Luca there, determined to face him with everything he has. Although he lose again in the end, Luca recognizes him for making him play seriously. Since the number of battles was still incomplete, Luca offers one more battle, although Itsuki decides to give it to Mikado who came to help him and hoping that a battle with Luca could help him with the dilemma he was facing.
After supporting Light in the final battle against Hiro Ryugasaki, Itsuki and the rest are taken to Genesis Corporation to stop the Shade invasion led by the Arc Ruler. To do this, they are given the Nexa System and tasked with stopping the three towers created by the Arc Ruler. When Shion divides everyone into teams, Itsuki is assigned to the Gaia Tower along Subaru. After overcoming the Shades they encounter with their cards and their DigiFriends, Itsuki and Subaru are received at the Gaia Tower by Erde whom they must defeat in a 2 vs 1 battle to disable the Gaia Tower.
The battle is revealed to be a duel to the death since the damage inflicted on the defense is in fact done to the life force. Erde corners them using the "Omen" of both Bloodcraft and Dragoncraft, to the point where they are able to kill both with an electric shock after leaving them out of combat. However, Baccherus and Slade intervene to shield them. This renews the strength of Itsuki and Subaru, and after reaffirming the bond with their partners, they evolve into Slade, Blossoming Storm and Baccherus, Grand Ghostie, allowing their owners to win the battle.
In disbelief of the miracle and the improbability of their defeat, Erde disappears as the Gaia Tower collapses. With their Nexa System out of power, Itsuki and Subaru are saved from the falling tower by Kaguya. The two then report to Shion what they learned during their battle and awaits medical assistance in the remains of the tower for the damage they suffered during the battle.
After watching Wolfram Zerga's broadcast announcing that he will battle Light to decide the fate of the world, Itsuki and the rest of Seventh Flame run to go with him, but Light decides to go alone when he sees the fear of everyone in the city. When everyone gathers together after Light loses, and he decides to go face Wolfram once more at the risk of never coming back, Itsuki apologize apologizes for assuming Light would stay strong, as everyone sees how scared he really was. However, Light makes the decision to go not just for the world, but for the excitement that it is the greatest battle of his life. Everyone then assures him that no matter what happens, they will be together again.
However, when Light uses Proof of Truth's effect to summon his friends' DigiFriends, this also summons his friends due to the bond each of them has with their DigiFriends. Itsuki supports Light when he plays Slade, Blossoming Storm. Winning the battle, Itsuki and the rest use their ace cards to clear the way for Light and save Wolfram.
Just before the Tree of Woe disappears, Arc Ruler offers Seventh Flame to make everyone forget that they saved the world so they can go on with their normal lives. Itsuki agrees saying that only they need to remember what happened.
Upon returning, Itsuki and Seventh Flame organize a party at the club to celebrate. However, they end up going to watch the battle between Light and Mikado.
Personality[]
He is kind-hearted and gentle. However, when the time comes, he shows his core strength. He always liked flowers and cute things, reflecting that in the cards of his deck, which led him to not be able to get close to other children and believe that he should change, but thanks to Shadowverse he always finds the strength to be himself.

Itsuki uses a Forestcraft deck. He primarily uses effects that return cards to the player's hand, thus exploiting the effects of Slade, Blossoming Wolf and Cosmos Fang to perform a OTK. He later support this strategy with Feral Awakening.

Etymology[]
- Itsuki's name is is written in katakana (イツキ), which has no special meaning. However, when written with the kanji 樹, it can possibly mean "tree".
- Itsuki's surname "Mitsutagawa" means "honey" (蜜 mitsu), "field, rice paddy" (田 ta) and "river, stream" (川 kawa, gawa).
