Lainecrest is the setting of Lessons from Lainecrest.
The kingdom of Lainecrest is a place with a culture based on magic, and the Lainecrast Academy is the most prestigious institution where the future leaders of the kingdom are trained.
Beyond is also the community of the Sibyls, elves who inhabit the forests and worship the Tree of a Thousand Harvests, the Goddess of Cycles.
Lainecrest Academy[]
Lainecrest Academy is an elite institution where young people from the most important houses, such as soldiers, clergy and other prominent figures, are admitted. Although most students are nobles and tycoons, commoners can also be admitted if they demonstrate a talent for magic, as is the case with Alicia. Those who graduate from Lainecrest Academy often join the military or hold leadership positions.
Laincrest has two available curriculum tracks; the Guided Study track in the East Tower, which teaches traditional lectures by professors with a more theorethical approach, and the Independent Study track in the West Tower, which is run by students who teach each other and centers in practical training. The Independent Study track was directed by Lyelth, who assured his independence after defeating a professor in a duel, and was also created by the president of the student council, Lilium, in order to gain free reign over a portion of the school so Amaryllis wouldn't be expelled for absence.
The Academy was founded by former General Cornelius, who was also the headmaster until the incident that reveals that he was killing students and turning them into undead soldiers. His son, Lyelth, took over as headmaster after defeating his father and this one dissapeared.
