Story[]

Prologue[]

One peaceful day, in the deep forest, Arisa is training with her best friend, Losaria. Losaria notes how Arisa has grown and maybe ready to become a Forest Guardian; Arisa herself feels unsure, but vows to become the best guardian alongside her companion.

While talking, black beasts, Shades, take Losaria away, and Arisa tries to intercept them. More and more appear in her forest, and even after defeated, she notes they are not normal forest creatures. When a Shade snatches Arisa away, Losaria chases after the creature to save Arisa. Though Losaria defeats the creature and frees Arisa, she ends up captured herself.

The Morning Star[]

When Arisa finally arrives at the Morning Star, a blinding light shines in her eyes and in front of Arisa is Nexus with Losaria's body as its host. Nexus states that "No longer doth this vessel hold her mind." Arisa refutes this to hope that Losaria is still in there. Nexus opens the gate to the Morning Star as Arisa and the other ones there are sucked into it.

Dream World[]

Inside Arisa's dream under the Morning Star's power, she finds herself in an unknown forest with amnesia now plaguing her. Losaria suddenly appears and informs that it's time for the Forest Guardian trials which confuse Arisa at first, but she ultimately goes along with it.

Both are attacked in the forest, and Arisa notes Losaria isn't her usual self, as she could easily have beat the creatures. Losaria smiles and says that she is always the one saving her and that Arisa is too talented. Happy to hear her friend tell her this, Arisa notes that Losaria was much more skilled than her and after some more trials, understands this is not her forest and that the illusion in front of her, is not Losaria. This lead Arisa to acknowledge that she had envy towards her friend, and was motivated to best her, yet never held any animosity towards her dear friend.

The perpetrator of the dream, Eris Anthule, appears and asks why did she reject salvation, as to her, in the dream, Arisa could hae been happy being the better one. Arisa notes that while her reason may be true, there is no point in overcoming an illusion and says that if she were to become better that Losaria, it has to be the real one. Shaken, Eris lets her exit the dream world.

The Morning Star: Conclusion[]

As Arisa and her new allies defeat Nexus, this one escape trought the Morning Star, taking Losaria's body with her.

When Yuwan Gilfrei gives everyone the power to travel between worlds to embark on a quest to stop the Keepers, Arisa makes it her personal goal to free Losaria from Nexus.

The Final Loop[]

After Arisa finally defeats Nexus in their final battle, Nexus leaves Losaria's body once and for all, allowing her to reunite with Arisa.

The Missing Star[]

Arisa and Losaria finally return home to take the trial to become Forest Guardians by facing the trials given by the Tree of Life. The current Forest Guardians start the first trial where the two must shoot down falling leaves. Arisa's growth easily allows her to pass the trial and Losaria also manages to pass. Before the second trial starts, Losaria tells Arisa that she has grown to be her equal and rival, and the two begin the second trial together.

The second trial is to defeat two wolf monsters while staying in one spot, but neither's arrows deal any damage to the wolves. When Losaria's wolf attacks her, Arisa shoots it despite leaving herself open to her own wolf, but both wolves disappear after she fires the arrow. The Forest Guardians reveal that the trial was to test one's true nature, and Arisa passed when she chose to protect someone else. Losaria admits Arisa passed fairly and congratulates her on passing, but Arisa declines the position of Forest Guardian because she explains that after traveling across worlds, she realized that she wants to protect everyone she can, not just the forest. Losaria accepts Arisa's decision and promises to become a Forest Guardian.
