Marguerite Valois is a character in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, Shadowverse (anime) and Shadowverse Flame.
Biography (Anime)[]
Marguerite is Leon Aurenche's personal assistant.
She supports Leon during his quest of of finding the chosen seven to stop the Tree of Woe, later helping the chosen to obtain the Mythical Cards through guidance and advice.
Three years later in Shadowverse Flame, she succeeds Leon as CEO of Genesis Corporation. She was leading the investigation of an artifact called the "Arc" until it was stolen by an individual calling himself Arc Ruler.
In hopes of find the Arc, Marguerite maintains contact with the Seven Shadows asking for their help, althought the group maintain their activities for themselves. She especially talks with Wolfram Zerga, who gave the data of a very special DigiFriend to the young Light Tenryu, something for which Marguerite questions him without understanding his intentions. She then hires the Joubert Sisters to hunt down Light as a way of test him.
She welcomes the students of Shadoba College to Genesis Island and reveals to Light that Draconir's memory might be divided in the hands of the Seven Shadows.
Marguerite and Ein take the eight winners of the Shadowverse World Ranking to the Shadow Area, where they have their battle against the Seven Shadows. Marguerite laments that things were never under her control, but she hopes that the battle in the Shadow Area will allow them to reclaim the Arc.
Despite that, Marguetite closely monitors everything that happens in the Shadow Area. Upon hearing that Draconir has some relationship with the Arc Ruler, Marguerite questions Womfram Zerga about the origin of the data box and also the transformation that Demonium underwent. Wolfram simply says that he obtained the objects thanks to a certain assistant in the Arc's research and that it is natural that being living beings, the DigiFriends develop. Despite her suspicions, Marguerite leaves him, warning him that she does not intend to let him out of her sight.
After the final battle between Light and Hiro, the Arc's resonance finally allows Marguerite to locate it within the Shadow Area itself, being claimed by the Arc Ruler who, in his decision to eliminate humanity, unleashes chaos in Nekome City, turning the DigiFriends into Shade monsters. Marguerite then takes care of sending the Seven Shadows to protect the city while Genesis Corporation takes care of the evacuation of the citizens, at the same time she gathers Light and his friends asking them to take care of stopping the Arc Ruler who was planning to destroy the world with the World Tower.
After giving the Seven Shadows and Seventh Flame the Nexa System to fight the Shades, Light asks Marguerite to give it to other players as well. Marguerite is initially reluctant to give such power to anyone, besides that replicating it would be too difficult, but Light convinces her by stating that they can all fight together as Shadowverse comrades.
Following the defeat of Wolfram Zerga and the disappearance of the Tree of Woe, a revived Leon Aurenche sends Mauro to offer Marguerite a break from her CEO position, but she decides to continue with her work.
Personality[]
Marguerite is a professional woman and loyal to Leon. She is serious and sincere providing support to those who need it.
