Rowen Dragespear is one of the main protagonists of Shadowverse and chapters 1 through 9 of Story Mode. An army commander with an intense sense of duty to the crown his comrades and his family, his life changed when a ferocious dragon attacked his squad. He is now trying to come to terms with the consequences.
Rowen is the default leader for the Dragoncraft class. In Shadowverse: Evolve, his leader card can be obtained in SD04: Wrath of the Greatwyrm and BP01: Advent of Genesis.
Personality[]
Rowen is a very kind man, seeking to protect those he meets and help those in need. Though at first he tended to push people away as to not accidentally hurt them due to his curse, after he learned to control in, be tends to always put himself first so that other people will be safe.
Anime[]
A spirit who takes Rowen’s form appears before Hiro Ryūgasaki in Episode 27, entrusting him with the Mythical Card.
The spirit appears in Episode 37 and 38. When Hiro is transported from his dream world to the world of his Mythical Card, he meets Spirit Rowen in the middle of a battlefield where he and his army are fighting dragons. After Hiro saves Spirit Rowen by summoning Ignis Dragon, the two face off in a Shadowverse battle. Towards the end, Spirit Rowen reveals himself to be the black dragon that Hiro had to face. After winning, Hiro remembers that his world was in danger and manages to return to save it with Spirit Rowen promising to always be there for him when he needs it.
The spirit helps Hiro when he was about to lose against Eiji, giving his Mythical Card a new power.
In Shadowverse Flame, the spirit appears briefly during the battle between Light and Hiro, when Hiro plays the Avowed Strike card.
