Erika and Arisa find the corrupted Viridia Magna surrounded by an energy barrier. Viridia Magna attacks in her maddened state, but Erika and Arisa can't counterattack because of the barrier protecting her. Mistolina arrives and reveals that ordinary weapons can't break the barrier, but her ability to create aether can break it. She asks the two to protect her while she gathers the aether needed to break the barrier. Erika and Arisa fight the corrupted Viridia Magan to protect Mistolina.

During the fight, Erika and Arisa realize Viridia Magna's state is causing her to relive her past trauma and is confusing them for the people of the previous civilization who inflicted it upon her. Mistolina finishes gathering aether and uses it to destroy the barrier, though the strain exhausts her. Viridia Magna unleashes the fourth roar, but Erika doesn't give up and attacks Viridia Magna, while admitting her mistakes and confusion about what to do with her life. Arisa understands Erika's confusion and encourages her to move forward with her. The two realize that Viridia Magna is feeling the same confusion they are, and that a keeper is using that confusion to manipulate her. They decide to destroy the power of the keeper that is the source of Viridia Magna's madness. They reach out to the real Viridia Magna during their attack and they manage to get through to her. Viridia Magna returns to sanity and immediately ends the blight. She apologizes for letting herself become corrupted and driven to cleanse the world, but Arisa and Erika's bond brought out her true self, and she returns to her true state. Arisa and Erika encourage Viridia Magna that her creations will learn to understand their bond with her and if her past haunts her again, it can be a chance to move forward and grow. Viridia Magna gives Arisa and Erika blessing of her power and returns to sleep in order to heal the land she ravaged. Rowen and Eris find the two and reveal the land is beginning to recover from the blight. With Naterra saved, the group rejoices as true allies for the first time before splitting up to tend to the aftermath.

16. Towards Hope[]

The group reunites with Bayleon and Ladica and the former explains that Viridia Magna went into a meditative state to focus on restoring the damaged caused by the blight. However, Valdain and Meowskers have left, but both Rowen and Bayleon are sure he will find his purpose. Afterward, the group prepares to leave Naterra to find the rest of their allies.
