The Shadow Grand Prix is a Shadowverse competition in the Shadowverse anime organized by Genesis Corporation.

About[]

The Shadow Grand Prix is a tournament that brings together players from all over the world with the supposed purpose of appointing the supreme player. Its true purpose, however, is to choose the seven who will save the world from the Tree of Woe by inheriting the Mythical Cards.

The tournament is announced by Leon Aurenche at the end of the National Tournament. It takes place on Genesis Island, a location specially enabled for Shadowverse battles with the V.E.S.U.S system (Virtual Externalizing Sharing Ubiquitous System) that allows VR technology to be used in any location of the island. Leon promised to give Genesis Corporation as a prize to the winner.

Each participant receives three Battle Points at the start of the competition. The purpose is to obtain more points, winning them in battles against other participants, thus achieving promotion from Bronze Rank, to Silver and finally to Gold. Battles can take place at any location on Genesis Island and any number of Battle Points can be wagered, but you can only battle against someone of the same rank. Once you reach ten points, you get a rank promotion, but you are then reseted to three points. Those who loses all of their points are disqualified and removed from Genesis Island.

The elimination round ends in 24 hours and the first seven who maintain the Gold Rank after the time expires become Legends and advance to the next round. These seven actually become the chosen ones that Leon would use to face the Tree of Woe.

In order to secure the position of Legend for those who deserve to be chosen, the Shadow Knights are sent to eliminate as many participants as possible.
