This page is for the fictionalized game. For the real life game, see Shadowverse.
In the universe of Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, Shadowverse (2020 anime series) and Shadowverse Flame, Shadowverse is a digital trading card game developed by the Genesis Corporation, specifically by Leon Aurenche, using the power of the Tree of Woe.
The game works in conjunction with advanced technology developed by Genesis Corporation such as Gauntlets and the VR System, creating an immersive and thrilling experience. As a result, the game quickly becomes very popular around the world, even creating professional Shadowverse players who make a living from battles.
Differences[]
Although the game follows the same rules and standards as the real-life digital game, there are certain features that only exist within the anime.
- There are 7 classes available to the public. The eighth class, Portalcraft, is a special class that has the greatest connection to the Tree of Woe and its existence is only known to Leon Aurenche.
- During the first series and first half of Shadowverse Flame, the only cards that existed besides the anime-exclusive cards were those from the Classic, Darkness Evolved and Rise of Bahamut expansions.
- The Beginner rank does not exist, and new players starts out in D rank.
- Grand Master is a permanent rank granted to the absolute best players and is said to only be a few in the whole world.
- Tag battles, which do not exist in the real game, allow four players to battle at once in teams of two, with each pair sharing the board, defense, play points, and turn counting.
