This article is about the piece of technology used in the Shadowverse anime series and its related media. For the recurring Shadowverse "Gauntlet" tournament events, see Event Formats.
A Shadowverse Gauntlet is a device seen in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, Shadowverse (2020 anime series) and Shadowverse Flame. It works in conjunction with the VR technology to create a more immersive experience during Shadowverse battles.
Boldly declaring "Shadowverse... Showdown!" causes the wrist bangle to take shape onto the user's wrist, allowing to attach a smartphone to the gauntlet. By connecting with the virtual reality system, the gauntlet allows projecting interactive digital recreations of the cards on the user's deck installed on the smartphone.
At first the gauntlets could only be used in spaces with VR gears, such as the Shadowverse Stadium or the arenas in the parks. During the Shadow Grand Prix, Genesis Corporation developed a system called V.E.S.U.S (Virtual Externalizing Sharing Ubiquitous System) that allows VR technology to be used in any location on Genesis Island by linking with a fiber-optic network laid all aroud the island as well as a processing system in the central tower.
Later, in order to face the Empty Shadows, Leon Aurenche modifies the protagonists' gauntlets with the Nexa System to allow them to use their psychic energy for battles, causing a real danger situation during battles.
