The village of Sully is a location in Whispers of Purgation.
History[]
Sully is a village located in the first known world destroyed by the Keeper, Nerva of Purgation.
Nerva dispersed her purgation mana throughout the world, a power that the people of Sully called "Kathar" and saw as a blessing, thus coming to venerate Nerva. The Kathar however was causing all kinds of disasters in that world and in that and other villages, the extreme exposure to Kathar during centuries turned the inhabitants into grotesque monsters and mindless zealots. They regularly kidnapped promising people from distant lands to become potential vessels for Nerva, wiping their memories and raising them as sacrifices. They also would regularly hold the Fest-ér-Venar and the Rite of Ordination, which after a hundred years would lead to the selection of the perfect vessel for Nerva and a "chosen hero" who would be the "invoker". In the middle, the Rite of Ordination alwas failed with the potential vessels couldn't adapt to Nerva and disintegrated from within.
After Lydia became Nerva's vessel, Sully's entire world was destroyed along with those who inhabited it. However, another possible vessel, Elena, was able to survive the purgation thanks to the power that Kratos transmitted to her.
Once Nerva was defeated by Elena and Aleister's heroes, the power of Elena's sword restored Sully's timeline, bringing all its inhabitants back to life in a reality where Nerva never had any influence on that world.
The Legion[]
The Legion is a military force from a foreing land who want to prevent the arrival of Nerva. They are lead by three generals, Kratos the heroic knight, Teresa the witch skilled in curses and Dragrand the tough dragonewt warrior.
The Legion was dedicated to destroying the villages corrupted by Nerva and rescuing possible kidnapped vessels, which led them to destroy the Sully village. However, the misguided acts of Elena, Asher, and Lydia led to the defeat of the Legion and the completion of Nerva's summoning ritual.
Following the restoration of their world, the members of the Legion, now with Elena among them, are recruited by Yuwan Gilfrei in the battle against the Keepers.
