Vanessa Joubert, also known as Vanessa Justine, is a supporting character in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, the 2020 Shadowverse anime and Shadowverse Flame.
Biography (Anime)[]
She is Vivian Joubert's older sister. The two are known for participating in Shadowverse tournaments in order to win big prizes.
They participate in the Shadow Grand Prix being delighted with the posibility of winning Genesis Corporation with the intention of selling it. They faces Alice and Mimori in a tag battle, having the advantage at first for their major experience in tag battles, but the two lose in the end.
Vanessa later appears possessed by an Empty Shadow and faces Kai Ijuin in the ruin of the Mythical Card.
Three years later during Shadowverse Flame, the sisters keep their mercenary affairs and are hired by Marguerite Valois to hunt down Light Tenryu as a way to test him. Vanessa is the one that battles him in the Shadowverse World Ranking, using new cards that the CEO gives her as a advanced payment. When Light wins despite having everything against him, the sisters recognize his worth and give him the Dual Rage card that Marguerite asked them to give him. They also reveal to Light that Genesis Corporation have been hiding the truth and that the Arc Ruler knows more.
The sisters then fight in the streets against the Shade monsters that invade Nekome, commenting on how it awakens their lost memories from years ago. Upon recieving the Nexa System, Vanessa helps Mimori Amamiya to fight the Shades.
Personality[]
Vanessa is a cool, mature woman as intimidating as she is beautiful. She and her younger sister Vivian are very close.
Deck (Anime)[]
Vanessa uses a Forestcraft deck designed to work in tandem with Vivian's in a tag battle. Her strategy is to use spell cards to rapidly gain shadows in order to use her ace card, Path to Purgatory. This is mainly done by manipulating her hand and discarding.
In Shadowverse Flame, she gains new cards from Genesis Corporation like Elf Twins' Assault and Airbound Barrage.
