The Virtual Reality System is an advanced technology displayed in the Shadowverse anime series.
Description[]
The Virtual Reality System allows players to immerse themselves in a space where they can interact with digital fabrications. This is accomplished with special VR gears arranged in battle arenas.
Genesis Corporation developed it to create a expanded experience for the Shadowverse game. During battles, players can connect their smartphones with the VR gears troguht their Gauntlets, creating hyper reallistic digital recreations based on their cards. Inside the battle field there is also projections of the players's hand, defense and play points, as well as a screen showing the progress of the battle.
VR battles are so reallistic that players can suffer from shocks and physical exhaustion during them, to the point that they can pass out if they take it too far. Even so, the system does not cause any physical harm to the body. However, it is possible to modify it to include a biological feedback and cause real pain and physical damage.
During the Shadow Grand Prix, Genesis Corporation developed a system called V.E.S.U.S (Virtual Externalizing Sharing Ubiquitous System) that allows VR technology to be used in any location on Genesis Island by linking with a fiber-optic network laid all aroud the island as well as a processing system in the central tower. This system was later employed for the Shadowverse World Ranking and expanded to be used worldwide.
Used in conjuntion with the Nexa System, V.E.S.U.S. allows the cards to materialize in order to be used as weapons against threats like the Empty Shadows.
In Shadowverse Flame, VR technology advanced in the development of DigiFriends, special cards that can be manifested and physically interacted without the need of VR gears.
